Lovely ideas for the weekend
With all of those wine bottles passed, poured and shared between friends also comes conversation, good cheer ... and a ton of tiny corks.
Their traditional role may be bottlenecking, but corks can be quickly crafted into decorative place cards, coasters, cheese markers and more. These fairly simple DIY ideas will inspire you to make the most of your (free) cork collection.
Looking for last-minute gift ideas or something simple to give to a holiday hostess? These cork crafts make great upcycled gifts, too.

Cork decor at its highest level!

Pinterest world last Spring. We always save our wine corks and have used them in various ways - at our wedding for the
seating card display, in
candle hurricanes, cork boards and coasters to name a few. I knew this project would take a while but would be so fun along the way (wink, wink)!

Beautiful chandelier made out of wine corks
"I have to admit, Joey is a genius. A few months ago, when browsing through the bins at Goodwill Outlet, he stumbled upon a giant pile of wine corks and a fan grate. He excitedly called me over to look at what he had found. To me it just looked like a bunch of junk; however, Joey saw something special in those materials. He had a vision, and I’m glad I allowed him to follow his vision, because now I have an incredible wine cork chandelier which was made from those seemly useless items. You can follow the tutorial below to make your own."
