Their traditional role may be bottlenecking, but corks can be quickly crafted into decorative place cards, coasters, cheese markers and more. These fairly simple DIY ideas will inspire you to make the most of your (free) cork collection.

Festive Wreath
Show off corks from your favorite vintages by creating this versatile wreath.
Finish it off with a ribbon that matches your home's décor--and change it up from season to season. Materials:50 corks 9” craft ring Hot-glue gun Decorative ribbon Craft time: 15 minutes 1. Hot-glue 25 corks around the 9” craft ring. Be sure to line up the bottom edge of the cork with the inner edge of the craft ring. 2. With the remaining 25 corks, create a second layer that is about ½” in from the inner edge of the craft ring by hot-gluing these corks in between the first layer of corks. 3. Cut a length of ribbon and tie it in a bow around the top of the wreath. |
